Rain and heavy showers, cooler than recently

Unsettled weather through the coming week. Low pressure will be bringing cloud and periods of rain or heavy showers. Cooler than last week. Indications of things turning a little less unsettled next week.

Low pressure stays west of Scotland on Thursday. Another very showery and breezy day. Showery troughs will be passing eastwards during the day bringing heavy, sometimes thundery showers. The showers could be torrential in places and there is a risk of hail. Showers could merge into longer spells of rain at times. Most of the showers in the west fewer in the east. Highs at 17C in the east of England, 15C in western areas of Wales, 13C in western Scotland.

Friday 5/6/26
Low pressure north of Scotland on Friday. Another day of sunny spells and showers. Probably fewer showers and the best of the sunny spells in the south. Highs at 14 to 18C.

A ridge of high pressure building on Saturday. Cloud is going to be broken with some sunny spells. A low risk of a shower here and there during the day. Highs at 15 to 20C.



 
 
 

Sunday 7/6/26
Higher pressure to the east on Sunday. Fronts in the west bringing outbreaks of rain. Drier in the east with sunny spells here. Highs at 18 to 22C.



 
 
 

Monday 8/6/26
A weak front passes east on Monday. This bringing outbreaks of rain, but then turning drier from the west with some sunny spells. Further rain into Ireland later. Highs at 14 to 22C.

Tuesday 9/6/26
Low pressure cross Scotland on Tuesday. This brings cloud and outbreaks of rain. Turning brighter from the west. Highs at 16 to 20C.
